Those visiting the Hungarian Csángó villages in Moldova today will be pleased to see more children and young people learning to play traditional folk instruments. Instrumental education is not new, having taken place in some villages, especially during summer camps. However, the weekly folk music education program, started in 2017 and now operating in 28 locations, is bearing fruit. The members of Moldvai Ifjúsági Zenekar are students of the instrumental folk music education program organized by the Moldavian Csángó Hungarian Association. They have performed at various heritage preservation events in Moldova since 2022 and have enjoyed playing at village dance houses. In 2024, they showcased their talents at the youth orchestras' review in Válaszút and the youth orchestras' meeting in Nagykároly.
